As a family-run hotel, we are mindful of how we use resources in our day-to-day operations. Rather than making general claims, we prefer to show you the specific measures we have already implemented at Hotel Blauer Karpfen.
☀️ Our Own Solar Power System
Since March 2024, we have been operating our own photovoltaic system with a capacity of 50 kWp. This allows us to generate and use part of the electricity required by the hotel directly on site.
🚗 EV Charging Station in Our Underground Garage
An EV charging station is available in our underground garage for guests travelling with an electric vehicle.
As the number of charging spaces is limited, we recommend checking availability with us before your arrival.
💡 LED Lighting
We use LED lighting in many areas of our hotel. As part of ongoing maintenance and modernisation, we are gradually converting additional areas to LED technology.
🚿 Water Consumption
Our hotel rooms are equipped with water-saving toilets and showers, helping us to use water more consciously in our daily hotel operations.
🥐 Breakfast Without Unnecessary Individual Packaging
At our breakfast buffet, we aim to avoid single-use and individually portioned packaging wherever possible.
Where practical and hygienically appropriate, we offer food in larger containers or directly at the buffet.
🥨 Products from the Region
Where possible, we work with regional and local suppliers when selecting products for our hotel.
For us, this is not only about shorter transport distances, but also about working with businesses from our region and offering our guests products from the surrounding area.
🧹 Housekeeping on Request
For stays of at least two nights, our guests can choose to skip daily room cleaning.

🚲 Explore Oberschleißheim by Bike
Guests who would like to explore Oberschleißheim and the surrounding area by bike can rent bicycles or e-bikes directly from us.
Schleißheim Palace and its beautiful park, the Flugwerft Schleißheim aviation museum, the Oberschleißheim Regatta Course and many other nearby attractions can be easily reached by bike.

As a small family-run hotel, we cannot – and do not want to – claim to be perfect in every area. We regularly review our day-to-day operations and introduce new measures where they are practical and appropriate for our hotel.
What matters to us is being clear and specific about what we actually do, rather than making broad promises.
