Munich's most popular market at Christmas time is the traditional Christkindlmarkt on Marienplatzin front of the town hall. With more than 150 market stalls, it is one of the largest Christmas markets in Germany.
A wonderful Christmas atmosphere puts visitors from numerous countries in a pre-Christmas mood. The market stalls offer homemade honey, pastries, artwork, wooden toys, knitwear, breads and other Christmas treats and gifts for sale.
You can easily get to Munich city center via the Schleissheimer Bahn connection. The journey time to the Christmas market is 25 to 30 minutes.
