Since 1995, the 1st International Junior Regatta of the German Rowing Association has been held every year at the beginning of May at the Olympic regatta course in Munich and regularly attracts an international field of participants from all over the world.

- Participants from Asia, Africa and South America
This makes the Munich regatta the leading European competitive rowing regatta for juniors. It is difficult to find a better comparison of performance between the national associations.
