From 14.12.2019-15.12.2019 our annual small Christmas market will take place in Oberschleißheim. Let yourself be enchanted by the many small huts. Among other things, you will be offered mulled wine stands, cookie sales and some artist stands.
Munich Christmas market around the Marienplatz
FromThe Munich Christmas Market is the largest and most traditional Christmas market in the city: the next Christmas Market will take place from 27.11. to 24.12.2019. Then you can once again look forward to music, arts and crafts, mulled wine and culinary specialties. And you can also meet St. Nicholas every afternoon. Here is an overview of what's on offer in 2019.
Mayor Dieter Reiter will officially open the Christkindlmarkt on 27.11. at 5 pm - after his speech, he will invite you to countdown together and the new Christmas tree will shine in all its glory for the first time. The stalls are already open from 10 am.

Christmas market at Munich Airport
Light rides, a huge ice rink, a varied supporting program and a cosy Christmas atmosphere: the Christmas and winter market will conjure up a festive Christmas atmosphere on the Forum of the Munich Airport Center from 15.11. to 29.12.2019.
The 2019 Christmas and Winter Market will transform the MAC Forum at Munich Airport into a magical winter wonderland - for the 21st time! In the middle of a fir forest around the large ice rink, plenty of culinary delights and a great atmosphere await visitors from near and far every day from 11 am. As every year, there is also plenty to listen to: Live music - the right style of music for every taste.
In addition to live music, ice skating and culinary delights, the Christmas and winter market offers a whole host of other highlights. The colorful program ranges from Advent wreath making and visits from St. Nicholas and the Christ Child to children's events such as the Winterwichtel magic show and Punch and Judy show:
- Large ice rink for free ice skating and curling
- Over 40 exhibitors and restaurateurs
- Punch and Judy show with puppeteer Thomas (20.11., 2 - 4 pm and 18.12., 4 - 6 pm)
- Winter gnome magic show with clown Manu (20.11. and 4.12., 4-6 p.m.)
- Advent wreath making on the stage (23.11., from 12 noon)
- Exciting magician and ventriloquist show with Dieter (27.11., 4-6 p.m.)
- We decorate delicious gingerbread in the Christmas bakery (4.12., 2-4 p.m.)
- Santa Claus comes and hands out small presents (6.12., 4-6 p.m.)
- Make a wish - make a wish list with the children. The dance group "Kim's Kindertanz" will create the right atmosphere. And then it's time at 2 pm: the Christ Child arrives. (21.12., 12-15 o'clock)

Winter magic at the Viktualienmarkt
From 21.11.2019 to 4.1.2020, the Viktualienmarkt will be transformed into a glowing winter wonderland with 21 additional stalls. Great promotions are also waiting for you. Always open from Monday to Saturday. The "lighting" of the maypole with local councillor Kristina Frank takes place at the opening on 21.11.
The gastronomic offer ranges from baked ham in a roll and sausages to tarte flambée and tarte flambée salmon to savory and sweet pretzels made from Danish pastry and more. For those with a sweet tooth, there are also sweet treats such as roasted almonds, crêpes and waffles. Visitors can choose between a hot cup of mulled wine, hot and cold drinks with homemade gin, mulled beer, liqueurs and non-alcoholic specialties. Those looking for creative gift ideas are also sure to find what they are looking for among the carvings, furs, liqueurs and pesti.
A highlight is the "lighting" of the maypole with local councillor Kristina Frank on 21.11.2019. A highlight for children: the carousel near Café Nymphenburg is a great place to take a few laps. There will also be a St. Nicholas event for children on 6.12. There are also various competitions with great prizes from the market.
Medieval market and Advent spectacle
Although many visitors simply refer to it affectionately as the "Medieval Market", the Christmas market also rightly bears its official name "Munich Advent Spectacular". At Wittelsbacherplatz from 25.11. to 23.12.2019, you can take a trip into the world of knights and jugglers - and of course there's mead too.
What's on offer? Do you know how Christmas was celebrated 500 years ago? We don't either, but at Wittelsbacherplatz, the era is back in the limelight, at least visually. Don't be surprised if you suddenly come face to face with a group of knights in heavy armor while drinking "magic potion" or if the traveling minstrels sing to you about their adventures. The music at the medieval market is unique among Munich's Christmas markets. Medieval rock, pagan and folk music will make you think of everything but Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. Of course, you'll also find gifts - from handmade drinking horns and gold jewelry to very cozy lambskins.
When should you be there? You won't be the only ones there, but a visit at the weekend is a must. On Saturday and Sunday, the organizers promise "music, dancing and entertainment" - with the evening lighting, it's pretty atmospheric. If you're more in the mood for shopping and browsing, we recommend visiting during the week, when things are a little quieter. The mead always tastes just as good anyway. The Spielleut' Lumen will be playing courtly dance and table music at the opening on 25.11.2019 from 5 pm.
