Experience the largest construction trade fair in the world
From April 8-14, 2019, you can find out everything about construction machinery, construction vehicles and the latest hand tools from over 3,500 exhibitors at bauma. Why it's worth visiting the trade fair, when it's open and what you can expect...
What is bauma?
The world's leading trade fair for construction machinery and building material machines, construction vehicles and equipment as well as mining machinery presents trends and developments. Huge cranes, massive excavators and the latest technologies - anyone who works in the construction industry or is interested in it privately will be at bauma 2019.
What will visitors learn and experience at the trade fair?
The equipment and its possible applications will be demonstrated live in shows. Panel discussions and conferences in the bauma Forum (Hall C2) will inform trade visitors. Exhibitors from all over the world meet to network, and direct business deals are also concluded here.
Core topics
- What about the ecological footprint of the construction industry? Exhibitors present innovations on sustainability, resource conservation and environmental protection - and offer solutions: How fine dust emissions can be avoided or how emissions can be reduced through electric drives.
- The bauma Innovation Award honors the most exciting innovations in the categories machine, component/digital systems, structure/construction method/construction process, science/research and design. Nominees include the E-Power Pipe (photo), which is used to lay underground cables in an economical and environmentally friendly way
- Mining is given its own platform for trends and technologies with bauma Mining - mining projects are also the focus of this year's partner country Canada
bauma Virtual
You can experience the fascinating and complex world of large construction sites in Hall B0. With VR technology, you can see the products, prototypes or future scenarios in 360 degrees. You can also interact with the virtual world and set the direction: For example, you can see construction machinery in action and transport yourself to enormous heights in construction and industrial elevators.
Freeway bridge
Who, if not the world's largest construction trade fair, could pull this off? A visitor bridge was built over the A94 overnight. While the freeway was closed for just under an hour, craftsmen assembled the 113-metre-long and 2.50-metre-wide bridge from two parts. Thanks to the construction, visitors can safely reach the northwest entrance of bauma from the parking lot.
