IMPARK Summer Festival

The impark summer festival makes you want to go on vacation: rides, concerts in the Theatron, beach bar and wakeboarding will enliven the Olympic Park from 25.7. to 18.8.2019. Admission is free.

The stall street with around 100 stands and rides is always popular with families - especially the Willeborg Ferris wheel. Young children enjoy rides on the "Wild Mouse" or the bumper cars. Tuesdays are Children's Day with reduced prices from the showmen until 6 pm.

In the Feinschmeckergasse, you can fortify yourself with international snacks: specialties from Asia, burgers, Bavarian delicacies or vegetarian dishes. Tip: changing bands play here in the evenings - and the genres are as varied as the food.

Lolling in the sun, drinking cocktails and feeling like you're in Bella Italia? That's also possible at the summer festival: with the Capri beach bar, the Olympic Park brings the Italian "dolce vita" to Munich. Snacks and drinks are accompanied by music from DJs. All you need is a pair of sunglasses and a drink in your hand. If that doesn't sound like sun, beach and Italy...

"The Good Night Flea Market" takes place on Saturday, 3.8.19 at impark - from 3 pm to midnight. That's perfect, because at the Midnightbazar, visitors not only come to browse and sell, but also to party. In addition to the 200 stalls, a street food market and live music create a festival atmosphere. There is also a children's flea market on August 10 (10-17) and the design and antique market "All Good Things" from August 16-18 (11-24).

Free concerts with fabulous music can be heard on the lakeside stage: the Theatron Music Summer features a daily program from 7 pm with established bands and newcomers from Munich and the region: whether singer-songwriters, indie pop or blues rock - the genres and bands alternate in the amphitheater. Incidentally, the Theatron has an entry in the Guinness Book of Records - for the longest free open-air music festival in the world.

Whether you're a beginner or a real pro: anyone can take part in wakeboarding on the Olympic Lake. This is because the equipment is individually controlled for each athlete. With a bit of board feeling, most people will be able to glide across the water standing up after a few attempts. Whether it's enough for the next step "practicing jumps" remains to be seen.

If you prefer a calmer experience, try stand up paddling (SUP). What looks like a relaxed paddle across the Olympic Lake quickly turns out to be an active workout for strength, balance and coordination.

On August 1 and 14, the sky above the Olympic Park is filled with fireworks and on Tuesdays (July 30 / August 6 and 13), the youngest summer festival-goers can enjoy the showmen's big children's days!
